The concept of this architectural exercise develops from the relationship between specificity of the context and understanding of the program.
The context; The overall context was studied as a figure ground, analyzing the program of both, mass and void. The immediate context (Main St.) was diagrammed to study the relationship of mass and void to one another in- troducing the arcade created by the trees along Main St.
The Program; Hotels accommodate a variety of program domains from the most inclusive social activities to the secluded solitude. The program was analyzed in three categories; voluntary interaction, voluntary isolation and involuntary interaction.
